ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT'S PERFORMANCE STANDARDS FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR:

(1) Curriculum and Instruction: Assistant Superintendent supervises and oversees School District curriculum and instruction pursuant to the Assistant Superintendent's job description and as directed and assigned by the Superintendent or Board.

(2) Special Education and Gifted Education: Assistant Superintendent supervises and oversees School District Special Education and Gifted Services pursuant to the Assistant Superintendent's job description and as directed and assigned by the Superintendent or Board.

(3) Student Services: Assistant Superintendent supervises and oversees School District Psychological Services, Counseling, and Transportation Departments pursuant to the Assistant Superintendent's job description and as directed and assigned by the Superintendent or Board.

(4) Student Growth and Achievement: Assistant Superintendent oversees the use of multiple sources of student data to inform decision-making to improve student achievement and growth. Assistant Superintendent uses District and school-level data to engage in a continuous cycle of improvement and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.

(5) Policy, Laws, and Regulations: Assistant Superintendent recommends and works collaboratively with the Board to develop, review and revise Board Policy and Procedures and informs the Superintendent and Board Policy Committee about new laws and regulations that may affect the District and/or necessitate updates of Board Policy and Procedure.

(6) Accountability: Assistant Superintendent is accountable to the Superintendent and shall provide information, data, and knowledge about the School District staff under her direct supervision and students for whom she is responsible including written reports as might be requested by the Superintendent.

(7) Professionalism: Assistant Superintendent models professional decision making processes and ethical standards consistent with the values of Pennsylvania's public education system as well as that of the local community. Assistant Superintendent additionally works to individually reflect upon her effectiveness within the role and works to improve effectiveness through the use of professional development literature and activities.

(8) Communication and Community Relations: Assistant Superintendent communicates with and effectively engages the staff, the Board, and members of the community, clearly articulating the goals and priorities of the School District and Superintendent, and building support for the School District's initiatives, programs, and short/long term plans.

The Assistant Superintendent has met the above Performance Standards for the 2023-2024 school year.
